M2.3 earthquake recorded near Howardville, Mo.

HOWARDVILLE, Mo. (KFVS) - The United States Geological Survey recorded a small earthquake in southeast Missouri Sunday morning.
According to the USGS, a magnitude 2.3 earthquake was detected at 7:30 a.m. on August 27 in New Madrid County, Mo.
The quake registered 2.5 miles west southwest of Howardville and had a depth of 4.7 miles.
