(KFVS) - Heavy wintry precipitation is starting to push out of the Heartland, but we are not quite in the clear yet.

There are still reports of some sleet, snow and freezing drizzle this morning, but this round is starting to wind down.

It is also very cold.

Afternoon highs will struggle to reach the middle to upper 20s.

Another quick shot of wintry weather is possible later today.

A winter storm warning and winter weather advisories are in effect for this evening into Tuesday morning, with some extended to Wednesday afternoon.
