LIVINGSTON-LYON COUNTY LINE, Ky. (KFVS) - Traffic is restricted along Interstate 24 Eastbound near the Cumberland River Bridge at the Livingston-Lyon County Line due to a vehicle fire Thursday morning, July 29.

This is at the 33 mile marker.

As of 8 a.m., traffic is moving through the area on the passing lane and inside shoulder, but this is expected to change.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) says the eastbound lanes will likely close at some point to allow crews to put out the fire and remove the vehicle.

Traffic should be moving smoothly at approximately 10 a.m.

Estimated duration is 2 hours.

There is not a detour in place, but drivers can avoid the area by taking KY 453 Grand Rivers exit 31 to KY 453 south, then follow U.S. 62 east to return to I-24 at the U.S. 62 Eddyville-Kuttawa exit 40 interchange.
