JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KFVS) - All Missouri State offices and courts will be closed on June 18 in celebration of Juneteenth, a holiday that commemorates the day that slavery came to an end in the United States.

Juneteenth has been previously recognized by Missouri law in 2003, as “Emancipation Day.”
