CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) - A driver who had been stopped by Cape Girardeau Police drove off and crashed on Monday, May 31.

Sgt. Joey Hann said a vehicle was stopped at approximately 2:40 p.m. on Bellevue Street near Fountain Street.

The suspect drove north and crashed on Big Bend Street.

The driver was hospitalized for lacerations.
