Kansas man faces murder charge in deadly Marston, Mo. shooting

MARSTON, Mo. (KFVS) - A Kansas man faces murder charges in the shooting death of another man.

The suspect was identified as 29-year-old Shawn Luke Sinclair of Iola, Kansas. He was also charged with armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon.

Sinclair is accused of shooting another man at Moore’s RV Park on Highway 61 in Marston, Mo. late on Tuesday night, May 25.

New Madrid County Chief Deputy Chris Hensley said the victim is from Republic, Mo. and had also been staying at the RV Park.

According to court documents, Sinclair called 911 claiming he was in his trailer and people were trying to attack him.

When an officer arrived on scene, he claimed he was “beat up by bikers.”

While checking the area around the camper, a deputy found a man dead on the ground with his head propped against a green Harley Davidson. The man had been shot in the chest.

Sinclair is being held at the Mississippi County Jail.
