SCOTT COUNTY, Mo. (KFVS) - Crews responded to a deadly crash on Interstate 55 at the Kelso exit.

It happened on Tuesday afternoon, May 11.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 2001 Ford Taurus hit a 2012 Chrysler 300 while both were going southbound.

The Chrysler 300 traveled off the right side of the road and overturned.

The driver of the Chrysler, 30-year-old Cadarious Buckner, of Sikeston, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Ford Taurus, Karmillia Smith, 20, of Sikeston, was arrested for felony leaving the scene of a crash resulting in death, failed to drive on right half side of the road - resulting in crash, operating a motor vehicle without a valid license and no insurance.
