CARBONDALE, Ill. (KFVS) - Rainbow Café LGBTQ Center in Carbondale plans to host a free STD/STI testing day on Saturday April 10.

The event is from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The Community Action Plan will provide HIV, HEP-C, gonorrhea, chlamydia and syphilis testing, along with other resources to ensure sexual safety.

Drinks and snacks will be provided for participants.

The event will also allow those who have wanted to get tested, but were unable due to the coronavirus pandemic.

According to Rainbow Café, one in two sexually active young people will get an STD/STI by the age of 25 and are often unaware of an illness because they do not show any symptoms.

For more information on the free event, contact Rainbow Café Manager Benton Goff here.

Open to all ages! Free, anonymous HIV, STI and STD Testing.
