JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KFVS) - Former Missouri Governor Eric Greitens announced he is running for U.S. Senate.

He made the announcement on Monday evening, March 22 during a network TV interview.

Greitens resigned as Missouri’s governor in 2018.

At the time, he faced charges tied to an extra-marital affair and allegations he used a charity email list for political donations.

Greitens will be seeking the seat of Republican Senator Roy Blunt, who recently announced he would not seek re-election.
