BUTLER COUNTY, Mo. (KFVS) - Emergency crews rushed to the scene of a serious crash in Butler County on Thursday night, March 4.
Police, ambulances and two medical helicopters responded at 8:19 to County Road 604, about a quarter mile east of Poplar Bluff, for a head-on crash.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP), 20-year-old Tyron E. Lane, of Poplar Bluff, was driving a Chevrolet Silverado westbound, crossed the center line of the road on a hill crest and hit a Toyota Camry head-on.
The drive of the car, 47-year-old Chad B. Angle, of Poplar Bluff, was seriously injured in the crash. He was flown to a St. Louis hospital for treatment.
Three passengers, all of Poplar Bluff, in Lane’s pick-up truck were also injured in the crash.
One 15-year-old passenger was flown to a St. Louis hospital with serious injuries.
A second 15-year-old passenger with serious injuries and a 17-year-old with moderate injuries were transported by ambulance to a local hospital.
MSHP did not say if Lane, the only one reported to be wearing a seat belt, was injured in the crash.
Both vehicle were totaled and towed from the scene.
