STODDARD COUNTY, Mo. (KFVS) - Law enforcement in Stoddard County made a sizeable drug bust Thursday, March 4.
Approximately 74 pounds of marijuana and $7,900 in cash was seized from a vehicle on Highway 60 near Grayridge, Missouri.
According to the Stoddard County Sheriff’s Office, Jack E. Schmerber Jr., 31 of Dexter, was driving the vehicle back from California and was headed to a home in Dexter.
Schmerber was arrested and booked into the Stoddard County Jail on trafficking drugs charge.
Stoddard County Sheriff Carl Hefner said the marijuana found in Schmerber’s vehicle was packed into seven bales, which contained one pound packages of marijuana.
No bond has been set at this time.
The SEMO Drug Task Force, Missouri State Highway Patrol and Dexter Police Department assisted with the investigation.
