Body found in Morley, Mo. lagoon

MORLEY, Mo. (KFVS) - Multiple first responders reported to the Morley Sewage Lagoon on Wednesday morning, February 24 after receiving a call that a body had been discovered in the water.
According to Scott County Sheriff Chief Deputy Ron Meridith, a man, reported missing on Tuesday, was walking his dog and fell into the lagoon.
Distant family members found his body during an early morning search and called police..
Interim Scott County Coroner James Donner was called to the scene and the body was recovered.
As of right now, Meridith believes the man’s death is not considered suspicious.
It is not clear if the man’s dog is also in the lagoon.
Crews cleared the scene shortly before 9:30 a.m.
The Scott County Sheriff’s Office, Missouri State Highway Patrol and the Scott County Rural Fire Protection District responded to the scene.
