Much warmer temperatures for the Heartland

First Alert Forecast 2/22 10 p.m.

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) - Good Monday Evening Heartland. The snow is melting fast as much warmer temperatures move into the area. Many areas saw the 50 degree mark for the first time this month. This evening will be mild but a bit breezy at times. Temperatures will slowly fall into the upper 30s late. Lows by morning will be in the middle to upper 30s.

Tuesday will be mostly sunny and very warm. Highs will reach the middle to upper 50s in most areas with a few of our western counties around 60 degrees.

A cold front will move through the area on Wednesday with a slight chance of rain. temperatures behind this front will be cooler for the end of the work week but nothing extreme.
