SCOTT CITY, Mo. (KFVS) - Employees at Bob’s Foodliner in Scott City were honored on Monday, February 22 with a proclamation from the city’s government.

Scott City Mayor Norman Brant read the proclamation aloud and gave a plaque to the store, thanking them for their efforts the last several decades and throughout this pandemic.

He said they were a great asset to the city when they needed help.

“They were real beneficial in helping us,” Brant said. “We had employees having to switch hours and try to separate themselves some. They were beneficial in getting food and stuff when we needed it and they’ve really been a benefit for the city.”

Paul Fugate, owner of Bob’s Foodliner, said they were always there ready to help out when needed.

“Throughout this whole pandemic, throughout everything that’s been going on with the community, they’ve always been the staple. They’ve always been the people that have been here to take care of the customer.”

Bob’s Foodliner also had gift bags for each of its employees and one lucky winner received a television.
