CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) - CarGO announced it will shut down after more than five years of business.
In an email to customers, the company said it would cease operations at 6 p.m. on Sunday, February 28.
CarGO launched more than five years ago.
“Unfortunately, the costs to continue funding growth and the search for a sustainable business model became insurmountable,” they said in an email.
CarGO’s investment leaders announced in early December 2020 it planned to close the business by the end of the year. However, a group who had not been involved in the company for more than year tried to keep it running.
“...we realized the business in its current condition would require more time, money and resources than we could possibly provide.”
They said restaurants and drivers will be paid for all transactions completed.
