MARSHALL COUNTY, Ky. (KFVS) - Crews worked quickly to get traffic moving on Interstate 69 northbound at the KY 348 Benton exit 43 interchange in Marshall County on Tuesday morning.

According to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, a load of construction debris came off of a trailer traveling down the northbound entry ramp.

Debris had blocked access to the exit and one northbound lane of I-69.

Crews estimated it would take approximately two hours to clean-up, but it took about 45 minutes.

KYTC said the incident was close to their Marshall County Highway Maintenance Facility, which made it easy to get equipment to the site and speedily remove a majority of the debris.

Crews will be doing some additional clean up along the ramp at a later date to remove a small amount of construction debris that went under a guardrail onto the right of way.

All lanes of I-69 are open to traffic.
