POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. (KFVS) - Poplar Bluff Police say they have identified and arrested two wanted suspects they considered armed and dangerous.
The suspects were wanted for an armed robbery at The Bottle Shop on Saturday evening, January 9.
Chief Danny Whitely said the suspects, Nathan Murray and Nicholas Barton were taken into custody around 12:30 p.m. on Monday.
Officers were called to The Bottle Shop, a liquor store located on 1000 block of South Westwood Boulevard, in reference to a robbery around 6:30 p.m. on Saturday.
The owner of the business told officers that two masked male suspects entered the business and demanded money from the cash register.
The owner said one of the suspects was armed with a handgun and gave him an undisclosed amount of cash.
The two suspects then took off on foot away from the store.
Investigators were able to retrieve images of the suspects from surveillance footage, including their vehicle.
Police released the photos on their Facebook page in hopes the public could help investigators identify the suspects.
After the arrests of the suspects, Chief Whiteley thanked all who called in tips to help identify the suspects.
