Brunswick County has seen a spike in COVID-19 cases over the past week with 114 new positive test results bringing the county overall total to 1,839 cases as of Oct. 9. That figure is double the average of positive cases in the three previous weeks.(CDC)

SOUTHEAST Mo. (KFVS) - The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services will host community testing events in New Madrid and Butler Counties.

Testing in New Madrid County will be on October 29 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Public Safety Center on 342 U.S. Highway 61 in New Madrid.

The National Guard will host the free drive-thru clinic.

Test results will be available in two to three days.

On Friday, October 30, testing will be held in Butler County from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Whitely Park, Highways 53 and 142 in Poplar Bluff.
