Vehicle hits stolen boat on trailer, golf cart and trailer with fencing reported stolen

MARSHALL COUNTY, Ky. (KFVS) - A series of thefts involving trailers and a golf cart is under investigation in Marshall County, Kentucky.

The first investigation began on Saturday, October 10 after a vehicle hit an abandoned boat and trailer on the 10400 block of Highway 68 East, which is in the Fairdealing/Johnathan Creek area.

Investigators believe that suspects driving a dark blue minivan, possibly a 2015 Toyota, stole the boat and trailer from a nearby home.

A witness told investigators they spotted the suspect’s minivan on Hwy. 68 when the the boat and trailer came loose into the roadway.

The trailer was not secured properly to the vehicle.

The suspects tried to reload the boat and trailer back on minivan, but they took off when witnesses started to arrive.

A passerby was not able to avoid the boat and hit it.

The next incident happened sometime between Oct. 10 and Oct. 14 on Hwy. 68 East, just east of Moors Camp Highway.

A single axle trailer, with several hundred dollars worth of fencing material, was stolen from a resident’s property.

The trailer is described as having a dove tail, lift gate removed from it due to damage and diamond plated fenders.

The last theft report is from a from a residence on Sledd Creek Road.

The victim reported that someone took their red 2015 EZGo golf cart sometime on Oct. 16 or Oct. 17.
