First Alert Sunday Evening Outlook

Work Week will get off to a soggy and potentially stormy start....

First Alert Weather @ 10 p.m. 10/18/2020

A cold front will move in from the northwest and then stick around for a couple of days, keeping our weather wet and unsettled. A few showers this evening will become heavier and more widespread overnight…with a chance of some thunder and lightning and heavier downpours. On Monday a front will bisect the region…with cooler conditions northwest…and warmer conditions southeast. Scattered showers and a few thunderstorms are likely at times Monday into Monday night. In fact SPC has our southeastern counties with a level 1/marginal risk of severe storms for Monday and Monday night. Our front should lift back to the north on Tuesday with decreasing chances of showers and warmer temps.

The middle of the week will be warm and mainly dry…with highs near or even above 80 once again. But by late Friday a strong cold front is still expected to push through from west to east with a good chance of thunderstorms….followed by much cooler but mostly dry weather for next weekend.
