Police investigating shooting in Cape Girardeau

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) - Cape Girardeau Police are investigating an early morning shooting on Monday, September 21.

Officers responded to a shots-fired call just before 3 a.m. at the intersection of Morgan Oak and South Ellis Streets.

When they arrived, officers found a man who had been shot in the upper torso.

The victim was transported to a local hospital.

Cape Girardeau Police Sgt. Joey Hann said the victim’s condition is stable.

Officers are currently investigating the shooting.
