Body found after house fire in Trigg Co., Ky.
TRIGG COUNTY, Ky. (KFVS) - A body was found after an early morning house fire.
Kentucky State Police were dispatched around 1:20 a.m. after a driver reported the home was fully engulfed on Will Jackson Road in Cadiz.
Cadiz and Trigg-Lyon County fire department also responded.
After the fire was extinguished, a body was found and removed by the Trigg County coroner.
An autopsy was scheduled for 8 a.m. on Friday at the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Louisville, Ky.
A state fire marshal from Bowling Green met with detectives at the scene and ruled the cause of the fire as “undetermined.”
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet reported a section of KY 778/Will Jackson Road was blocked northwest of Cadiz because of the house fire.
Just before 8 a.m., the road reopened.
