ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KFVS) - The St. Louis Cardinals say a team talent scout is dead after being hospitalized with COVID-19.

Charles Peterson, 46, had been in the hospital since August.

Peterson was hired by the Cardinals in 2012. He was the signing scout for the 2020 first round pick Jordan Walker.

A GoFundMe page was set up for him two days before he passed.
