The second round of an antibody study in Cape Girardeau County found COVID-19 antibodies in 20 people, that’s four more than the first round of testing.

The Cape Girardeau County Public Health Center released details from phase two of its study on Monday afternoon.

The second round came eight weeks after the first.

Health officials said they were still able to detect antibodies in 15 of the 16 people who tested positive for antibodies in the first round of testing.

Officials say the results show a high percentage of people in the county are still susceptible to the virus.
