First Alert: Below average temperatures, showers and storms possible

First Alert Weather 10 p.m. 8/2/2020

(KFVS) - Isolated showers and thunderstorms are possible Monday.

A few isolated showers and storms look possible….spreading gradually from west to east.

The best chance today looks to be over the hills of Southeast Missouri and perhaps Southwest Illinois.

On Monday the better chance will inch further east into Southern Illinois and West Kentucky along the front.

We will see cooler temperatures and less humid air on Monday.

The upcoming week continues to look unusually pleasant for early August (it is likely to end up as the coolest week of the month) with highs, lows and dew points below average until next weekend.

The nicest weather looks to be mid-week, from Tuesday thru Thursday….when we’ll likely have overnight lows in the 50s and 60s.

By next weekend we’ll be sneaking back to near normal temperatures.
