ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KFVS) - The Major League Soccer debut in St. Louis was pushed back to 2023 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

MLS Commissioner Don Garber made the announcement on Friday, July 17.

The inaugural MLS season will now be in spring 2023 instead of 2022.

They said they are still moving forward with building a stadium and stadium district in Downtown West.
