More than 11K positive cases of COVID-19 in Mo.

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KFVS) - The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services reported a total of 11,558 positive cases in the state on Friday, May 22.

They also reported 671 deaths.

Approximately 172,946 patients have been tested for COVID-19 in Missouri.

On Thursday, the governor announced there would be community sampling in the state, including an event in Cape Girardeau County.

It’s part of an effort to increase overall testing.
