LAKE COUNTY, Tenn. (KFVS) - As the Northwest Corrections Complex has continues testing the inmate populations, the Lake County COVID-19 cases increase to 46.
The corrections complex began testing April 10, at that time nine employees tested positive for COVID-19, for of those lived in Lake County.
The large increase in the County’s number is largely due to the testing being done at the corrections complex.
“I would like to thank each and everyone of you for your efforts to contain this virus in our county. As we begin opening up our county, be mindful that the virus is still here. Beginning next week, we will be opening up our restaurants and retail spaces at 50% capacity." said Lake County Mayor, Denny Johnson.
