CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) - The Cape Girardeau Fire Department held a virtual fire engine tour Wednesday, March 25 at 10:30 a.m.

Firefighters used ipad technology to give the tour on Facebook.

“We’re just thankful once again for technology to be able to bring this to the community since the community can’t come visit us right now because we love our community and so this is just one of the ways that we can bring our fire stations to the community at this time," said Cape Girardeau Firefighter Chris Miller.

The 'tour guides’ explained function of the equipment on the truck, what each firefighter’s duty is in responding to a fire and much more.

The firefighters also answered questions as they were asked during the virtual tour.
