United Way looking for volunteers to rappel down tower for a good cause

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) - The United Way is looking for some brave people to “go over the edge.”

The organization is once again giving people a chance to rappel down Towers South at Southeast Missouri State University.

For a donation, you can grab a line and make your way down the 147-foot building on June 5.

Too chicken? You can also donate money to an “Edger” and become a member of the Chartwells Chicken Coop.

You and your coworkers could raise a minimum of $1,000 to “Toss your Boss” over the edge. If he or she matches the dollar amount, they can delegate someone else to do it.

The money will benefit needy families in southeast Missouri.
