Cape Girardeau police ID shooting victim; Major Case Squad investigating

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) - Two men were shot on Tuesday, Jan. 28 in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

According to Cape Girardeau Police Sgt. Joey Hann, one man died from his injuries.

Police identified him as 19-year-old Marc’Anthony V. Jones of Cape Girardeau.

The second victim was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Authorities were called to the scene just after 10 p.m. on Tuesday.

The Cape Girardeau/Bollinger County Major Case Squad was activated to investigate the homicide.

Officials said they are investigating in the area of the 1100 block of South Sprigg Street, Ellis and Hackberry in Cape Girardeau.
