2.5 magnitude earthquake recorded in Tenn.

Earthquake upgraded, location changed

LAKE COUNTY, Tenn. (KFVS) - A 2.5 magnitude earthquake was recorded by United State Geological Survey officials in Lake County, Tennessee.

This quake was reported earlier as a 2.3 earthquake in Kentucky.

Officials said it happened on Tuesday, Jan. 14 just after 5 a.m.

It was around five miles below the earth’s surface.

The earthquake shook closest to Marston, Missouri.

This is part of the New Madrid Seismic Network.
