Poplar Bluff, Mo. man killed in motorcycle crash

BUTLER COUNTY, Mo. (KFVS) - A Poplar Bluff, Missouri man was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Butler County on Tuesday evening, Nov. 26.

Emergency crews were called to the crash at approximately 6:40 p.m. on Highway 53, about two miles north of Qulin.

The crash involved a motorcycle and a car.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP), 45-year-old Jacky F. Battles slowed down his 1993 Harley Davidson to make a turn when a car hit him from behind.

Battles died at the scene.

The driver of the car, 18-year-old Jaxson R. Warren was not injured in the crash.

Troopers report Battles was wearing a helmet, but it is unclear if Warren was wearing a seat belt.

Both vehicles were towed from the scene.

The car had extensive damage and the motorcycle was totaled.
