SCOTT COUNTY, Mo. (KFVS) - Several crews were called to a fire in Scott County, Missouri on Wednesday, Nov. 6.
According to the Scott City Fire Chief Trent August, the call came in at 10:46 a.m. about a grain bin fire at Consolidated Grain and Barge on Rushing Road in Scott County, Mo.
When crews arrived, the fire was in the unloading part of the bin.
The fire was elevated to a two-alarm fire and several agencies assisted.
No one was injured, but that portion of the building is considered a total loss.
The product was not damaged by the fire.
Crews finished putting out the fire around 1:40 p.m.
Cape Girardeau Fire Chief Travis Hollis said crews will have to dump out the contents of the grain bins.
