Flags to be at half-staff Sunday in honor of fallen firefighters

FRANKFORT, Ky. (KFVS) - President Donald J. Trump signed a proclamation ordering American and state flags at public office buildings be lowered to half-staff from sunrise until sunset on Sunday, Oct. 6.

It’s in honor of the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Service.

The 38th annual service will honor 92 firefighters who died in the line of duty in 2018, and 27 firefighters who died in the line of duty in previous years.
