First Alert: Temperatures in the 70s this evening

First Alert 10pm forecast 9/13

(KFVS) - We are seeing a cold front move through the area at this time.

Chief Meteorologist Grant Dade says, currently, we are not seeing any shower development along this front but a few isolated showers or thunderstorms will be possible later this afternoon and into the early evening hours, mainly across our southeastern counties.

Cold front moving through the Heartland at this hour. So far no rain developing along the front. Cooler weather this evening and Saturday.

Temperatures are falling slowly behind this front as drier and slightly cooler air moves in.

This evening for Heartland Football Friday looks nice with temperatures falling through the 70s. Lows by morning will be in the middle 50s far north to lower 60s south.

Saturday looks very nice across the Heartland. We will see mostly sunny skies and warm temperatures.

Highs will reach the middle to upper 80s but with the drier air in place the heat index will be slightly lower than the actual air temperatures.
