3.7-magnitude earthquake shakes near Missouri-Arkansas border

Earthquake shakes on Mo./Ark. border

GASSVILLE, Ark. (KFVS) - A 3.7 magnitude earthquake rumbled parts of southern Missouri and northern Arkansas early Thursday, Sept. 12.

According to the USGS, the quake hit at 1:42 a.m. and centered near Gassville, Arkasnsas, around the Missouri border.

People across the Ozarks reported to the USGS they could feel the shake, including areas as far north as Springfield, Mo., as far east as West Plains, Mo., and near Mountain Home, Ark.
