First Alert: Last nice day before the heat comes

First Alert 10pm forecast 9/8

(KFVS) - The big weather story for the week ahead is a mid-summer type heat wave pattern that will control our weather from at least Monday through Thursday.

Meteorologist Brian Alworth says tonight will be cloudy and not as cool. Lows in the 60s. Light winds.

Monday will be mostly sunny and more humid with highs in the low 90s and heat index values near 100.

We could see a period from Monday until Thursday of very hot and humid conditions.

Here's the FB forecast graphic of the day: the heat wave pattern that will be controlling our weather this upcoming week. Afternoon highs in the 90s and heat index/feels like numbers about 100 to 105.
