Body of teenager found in Kentucky Lake

Marshall County (KFVS) - A body of a teenager was recovered from Kentucky Lake in Marshall County, Kentucky on 11 a.m. on Sunday, August 25.

According to Emergency Management Director Curt Curtner, the 14-year-old boy was recovered by divers at the Kentucky Dam Marina.

An autopsy will be held in Madisonville, Ky. early Monday morning, according to Curtner.

Curtner said some teenagers had a gathering last night and the boy was later reported missing.

No foul play is suspected. There were no other persons reported missing.

Law enforcement has a separate investigation.

The Marshall County sheriff said Saturday at the Ky. Dam Marina said officials found two unresponsive juveniles in a house boat after responding to a drowning.

The two juveniles were transported to area hospitals. Kentucky Fish and Wildlife contacted the sheriff’s office to assist in the possible overdoses that occurred on the house boat.

Detectives with the McCracken and Marshall County sheriff's offices interviewed several people.

The overdoses appeared to have been from Xanax pills that contained fentanyl, according to the Marshall County sheriff.

Several search warrants were issued over the next few days. One was at a camper on Morris Camp Highway. Stoney Hendrickson owned the camper.

Detectives seized over 20 Xanax pills suspected to have fentanyl in them. Marijuana and drug paraphernalia was also seized along with firearms and over $1,200 in cash. Hendrickson was charged with trafficking. He was booked into the Marshall County Jail.

The investigation is ongoing.]
