First Alert: Hot start to the work, school week

(KFVS) - It will be a very hot and humid start to work and school week.

Meteorologist Brian Alworth says it will be mostly clear and muggy overnight. Lows about 70 to 76.

Feast or famine? Despite some scattered strong storms and heavy downpours, many areas remain dry. Next signficant rain chances look to be late Wednesday as a cold front approaches.

Monday will be partly cloudy, hot and very humid. An isolated storm is possible. Highs will run about 91 to 95, but afternoon heat index about 105 to 110.

It will be hot and humid with isolated storms on Monday night into Tuesday.

With less chance of storms tomorrow (and Tuesday) the main weather story will be the heat and humidity....with very high...
