MISSISSIPPI COUNTY, Mo. (KFVS) - A semi-truck fire on Interstate 57 caused quite a backup early Thursday evening, June 27.

It happened around 5 p.m. in the northbound lanes.

Missouri Highway Patrol Sgt. Clark Parrott said the tractor trailer fire is out.

They had to move it off the interstate slowly to get it off the roadway.

The interstate is back open again.

Traffic was backed up for several miles.
