Murray State point guard Ja Morant was selected second overall by the Memphis Grizzlies Thursday night, June 20 at the NBA Draft in New York.

Morant played 65 games in two seasons for the Racers and helped lead them to back-to-back Ohio Valley Conference Championships and NCAA Tournament appearances.

Ja is headed to Memphis. Morant picked second overall in the 2019 NBA Draft. Here is a group of quite happy Racers fans hearing their point guards name called:
