Driver dies after crash, car catches fire in Ky.

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. (KFVS) - One person has died after a crash in western Kentucky.

According to the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened in the 6800 block of Clinton Road just before 4 p.m.

The vehicle left the road, hit a tree head-on and caught fire. Two people were inside and the driver did not survive.

McCracken County Deputy Coroner Jason Logsdon confirms that Jeffrey Caudle, age 48, of Lone Oak/Paducah, was pronounced dead at the scene at 3:57 p.m. Further investigation with the McCracken County Sheriff’s Department is ongoing.”

The road was closed to traffic for around 3 hours.
