Teen accused of stabbing sibling in Sikeston, Mo.

SIKESTON, Mo. (KFVS) - An 18-year-old woman is in custody in Sikeston, Missouri.

According to Sgt. Jon Broom with the Sikeston Department of Public Safety, a 16-year-old male was stabbed Thursday night just before 9:30 p.m.

Sgt. Broom said the teen had a laceration to his hand and two stab wounds to his left leg.

He is expected to recover from his injuries.

According to the victim, the 18-year-old female is his sister, Broom said.

Chansis Nitara Patterson of Sikeston is charged with domestic assault first degree, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon. Her bond is set at $100,000 cash or surety.

She is scheduled to be in Scott County Circuit Court.

It happened outside in the 500 block of Cole Ave.

The case is still under investigation.
