PIEDMONT, Mo. (KFVS) - A fire broke out at Today’s Food in Piedmont, Missouri.
Officials with the Piedmont Police Department said the fire was on top of the building with “good size flames."
The fire was spotted around 10 a.m.
According to Piedmont Fire Chief Seth Deck, when they arrived, firefighters found that the exhaust system for the fryers was on fire with flames shooting through the roof.
He said they were able to contain the fire to a small room and put it out with minimal damage.
People inside the building were immediately evacuated. No injuries have been reported.
Fire Chief Deck said it it weren’t for the quick thinking and actions of the employees, who used fire extinguishers and called 911, the fire would have spread and the damage would have been much worse.
He said no foul play is suspected.
