“Stay vigilant” deputies say a scam caller is claiming to be from a KY newspaper

MARSHALL COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - A possible scam call is going around Marshall County, Kentucky according to the sheriff’s office.

Deputies said they have received information scam caller contacting residents and claiming to be a Tribune Courier newspaper reporter.

Deputies said if you get one of these calls from someone saying they are from the Tribune, hang up and call 270-527-3162.

Ask to speak to Venita Fritz. Deputies said she will verify whether the reporter works for the paper.

Deputies also reminded residents to “stay vigilant and protect your personal information!”
