MO AG files lawsuit against drug manufacturers over generic drug prices

JEFFERSON CITY, MO (KFVS) - The state of Missouri is joining the state of Connecticut’s lawsuit against 20 generic drug manufacturers and 15 individuals over the prices for more than 100 different generic drugs.

The lawsuit, filed in U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut, alleges Teva, Sandoz, Mylan, Pfizer and 16 other generic drug manufacturers conspired to fix prices on all types of prescription drugs such as oral medications and topicals.

The lawsuit seeks damages, civil penalties and actions by the court to restore competition to the generic drug market.

More than 40 states, including Illinois and Kentucky, have also joined the lawsuit.
