St. Louis Blues win 2-1 over Dallas in 2OT to advance to Western Conference finals

ST LOUIS, MO (KFVS) - The St. Louis Blues hosted the Dallas Stars in a winner-take-all game 7 for the second round of the Stanley Cup playoffs.

The Blues won 2-1 in double overtime. Native St. Louisan Pat Maroon scored the game winning goal.

The Blues advance to the Western Conference Finals. The Blues will either face San Jose or Colorado who play their game 7 on Wednesday night.

The Blues were out to an early lead in the first period, but the Stars quickly matched it up.

The game remained tied up until the end of regulation and the first overtime period.

Restaurants and bars in Cape Girardeau expected many fans to come out to root on their favorite team on Tuesday night.

Heartland News talked with Wings Etc. Manager Triston Snell who said they planned on having most of the TV’s on and the sound system for what is expected to be a busy and exciting atmosphere full of people.

“Family fun and very social,” Snell said. “A lot of the time people will be commuting between the different tables and meeting up with their friends and having a good time.”
