New record largemouth bass caught in KY

HARLAN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - There is a new record in Kentucky after a man caught a whopper of a fish.

Mark Ward of Harlan County, Ky. caught the largemouth bass that tipped the scales at 14 pounds 9.5 ounces according to Kentucky Fish and Wildlife.

The bass was caught in Harlan County on Good Friday, April 19.

It was 26.8 inches long with a girth of 22.5 inches. It was caught with a 6 inch Junebug colored lizard.

It was the first cast of the day for Ward.
