Beautiful Easter afternoon underway with clear skies and air temps in the mid 70s to around 80. Dew points were comfortably low. Our weather will remain pleasant and mainly dry for another day or two before becoming more unsettled again by mid-week. In the short-term, tonight will bring some high and mid clouds…especially late…which combined with a light south breeze will keep it from getting as cool as it did last night. Monday looks partly cloudy to mostly sunny and warm….with a stronger south wind and slightly higher humidity levels.
Models continue to show different details, as usual, but overall we’re still expecting an unsettled period from late Tuesday thru late Thursday…as moisture from the south meets up with an active jet stream over the Midwest…and a weak frontal boundary. Looks like a low-level chance of showers/storms by Tuesday afternoon or evening…with better chances of rain and more coverage Wednesday and Thursday. Thursday is trending wetter as an upper low approaches from the southwest. At this point rainfall totals look modest (an inch or so?) and severe threat rather low, but will have to monitor. Dry and quiet weather should return by the end of the week.
